Just an old country boy at best, I was born in Michigan,, raised on a 600 acre farm with five brothers and two sisters and a loving mother and father. Yes we had everything that could be raised on a farm,,,,,,,horses, cows ,pigs, chicken  and all came with their chores.

At seventeen I enlisted in the Marine Corp (of course my dad had to sign me in I was a brat), and was honorable discharge after my four years of service, I was discharged as a sergeant and all grown up

Then well,,,Bla Bla Bla  who writes this stuff anyways .

Long story short,,,,I have been in the construction industry ever since I came to Florida in 1983. I work as a sub contractor for Bill Raynor of Raynor Company as a framer and a lead carpenter for two years. Even though Gene Hunter and Bill Raynor were good to me, I knew I had to try on my own. So I set my goals to become a  state license contractors. I took and pasted my contractors test in 1985 (CBC-035058) and started my company Robin Smith Build & Design the same year. I have 20 plus years serving the building trades in the Tampa Bay area.
